What are the benefits?
Playing music and singing in a group can help to boost wellbeing, build social connections and help to reduce feelings of loneliness.
Familiar music can evoke memories and emotions which can provide mental stimulation and enhance cognitive abilities such has memory recall. It can also bring a sense of identity to the person experiencing the music.
