Individual Music Therapy Sessions
What is Individual Music Therapy?
One to one Music Therapy sessions adopt a person centred approach. This therapeutic practice focuses on creating a safe and supportive environment where the client can express themselves freely through music.
By tailoring sessions to the individual, the therapist can provide interventions that work towards therapeutic goals that promote emotional, cognitive and social wellbeing.
Adaptations can be made to meet the sensory and physical needs of the client. This client-centred approach acknowledges the individuals experiences, preferences and challenges, allowing for meaningful collaboration with the therapist.

Sessions are tailored to meet the needs of the individual and consider factors such as sensory and physical requirements. I have a variety of musical instruments and equipment I use in sessions. Adaptations can be made where possible to create an environment for musical discovery.
Ideally, it is recommended that individuals receive at least 4-6 sessions where we can continue to work towards therapeutic goals.
